New Mexico Watercolor Society-Southern Chapter invites all NMWS Members statewide to submit artwork for selection to the 2023 Fall Exhibition. The theme of the exhibition is “A Happy Place". During times of stress, we are often told to go to our 'happy place' and that means different things to different people--perhaps an actual place; your kitchen or yard, a favorite town or city, a campfire, beach, quiet forest, or lake or waterfall. Or maybe it is a friend or family member or a mood or a feeling. After so many months of staying home and isolation, this is an opportunity to show us through your art, your happy place.

Online registration for the Exhibition starts 6 AM Wednesday, July 26, 2023
Deadline for entries is 6 PM Wednesday, September 20, 2023

Online entry only, July 26-September 20, 2023
$30 for one entry, $45 for two entries--all entries must be for sale (30% of sales price gallery commission will be made to and collected by Doña Ana Arts Council Gallery)
Minimum painting size: 80 square inches
Maximum painting size: 22" X 30"
Maximum mat width 3.5” on all sides
Entries must be original and entirely the work of the artist and completed within the last 2 years
You may NOT enter works that have been previously accepted or shown in National Shows, Western Federation, Masterworks of New Mexico, or in NMWS Fall or Spring shows.
Watermedia must be the dominant medium used; no mechanical means or reproduction is allowed in creation of submitted paintings
Digital images: jpg only, less than 4mb, max of 4800px on longest side. File naming will be handled by the ArtCall website software
